When we try to install Adobe Flash Player, we my get the following Error:
“Adobe Flash Player ActiveX Setup
Failed to install.
For troubleshooting tips, please see http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166”We have a very solid solution to fix this error message:
1. Download and run Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exeNote: Quit ALL running applications, including all Internet Explorer or other browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, or other Messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player are still in memory.
2. Download this file: http://windowsuu.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/reset_subinacl.zip
3. Extract the zip file to get files reset.cmd and subinacl.exe. Double click the reset.cmd file. This is a very useful tool to fix system permission problem.4. Install Flash Player again: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Usually, we can install flash player successfully by this way.
