Cause: Usually, either WZC controls or the installed software for the wireless card/adaptor controls. When the wireless card software controls, then the WZC control is disabled.
Solution:
1. Start - Run - services.msc
2. Check and start the following servicesWireless Zero Configuration
Wired AutoConfig (For XP SP3)3. Start - Run - msconfig
4. Under Startup tab, uncheck any 3rd party wireless control application.
5. Under Service tab, uncheck any 3rd party wireless control service.Same problems on internet:
